Tom Kemler has been our Chief Business Appraiser since 2019. With almost 40 years of experience in Securities Analysis, Business Valuation, and Portfolio Management, Tom adds an incredible amount of experience to the Boyce Wealth team.
Tom earned a BA in Economics from the University of Delaware. Additionally, he also holds a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Texas at Dallas. Like Eric, Tom is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). Specifically for business appraisals, he earned his CVA (certified valuation analyst) credential from NACVA (National Association of Certified Valuators & Analysts) in 2021.
Tom began his career as a Financial Consultant with Merrill Lynch in his home state of Pennsylvania, later relocating to the Dallas/Ft Worth area. Later, Tom moved to NationsBank/Bank of America where he valued non-public securities in the Trust Department. Tom left B of A to move to Austin and joined Hester Capital as Head Equity Trader and Analyst. It was at Hester where Tom and Eric first met and worked together.
Tom and Eric also believe in giving back to their profession. They served together on the CFA Society of Austin’s Board for several years. He was on its board from 2001-10 and was its President from 2007-08.
